Here’s how it works: Choose the new Boyd home that meets your needs and dreams in one of our single family communities in the Richmond area. Then lease with us at Rivermont Station Apartments or Rivermont Landing Townhomes. As a Boyd Homes homebuyer, you’ll get a 25% savings on your rent every month to add to your down payment until you have saved up to 3.5% of the purchase price of your home – the magic number for a down payment under FHA’s guidelines. There are other loan programs with lower down payment requirements. There is no early termination fee when you end your lease to move into your new Boyd Home. Already a resident at one of our Rivermont communities? No worries, you can take advantage of this program as well.

The fine print: We’ll help you with a super deal on rent, but you have to actually pay the saved amount to us every month to apply to your down payment. If you default under either your purchase agreement or your lease, it’s a default under both agreements, and you may lose the amount paid toward your downpayment. Prequalification with a Boyd Homes’ preferred lender is required. If, in the end, you don’t qualify for a loan not due to your fault, you will be released from your purchase agreement, and the amount paid by Boyd Homes toward your downpayment will be kept by Boyd Homes. We reserve the right to not start construction of your new home until you have saved your down payment and received loan approval. This offer is only available for new purchase agreements.
