    Boyd homes is seeking a Marketing Assistant to join our hard working team for a summer internship!

    This full-time, temporary intern position will start in May 2017 and last through August 2017. Open to Richmond or Hampton Roads based candidates. 

    The successful candidate will work with and support the Property Management and New Homes divisions in updating and maintaining marketing material, advertising, and other campaigns.

    Primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

    - Maintain/update marketing material for both our multifamily and single-family communities, including flyers, banners, job fair items, and any additional creative pieces as needed.

    - Consistently update the Boyd Homes website, including single-family home information, multifamily information, photos, specials, layouts, and blogs.

    - Maintain/update single-family home listings on Zillow and Trulia.

    - Print marketing flyers and sales collateral for our single-family communities on a weekly basis using the supply request sheets provided by real estate agents.

    - Maintain/update sales collateral for real estate agents, including community inventory flyers, spec home hand-outs, home-buyer seminar flyers, floor plans, sales pieces, and other material as needed.

    - Update and organize single-family home information for monthly email re-engagement campaigns, including available homes, pricing, and photos.

    - Maintain/update multifamily community websites.

    - Assist in organizing monthly Facebook ads for our single-family communities.

    - Maintain/update information in our CRM platform for sales agents.

    - Monitor content across all social media platforms.

    - Work closely with property managers of the multifamily communities to update/provide marketing items, business cards, brochures, and other material as needed.

    - Research and order promotional items for both multifamily and single-family communities as needed.

    - Assist the Marketing Manager with any additional projects as needed.

    The successful candidate must be proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, organized, reliable, and able to learn and succeed in a fast-paced environment.

    The right candidate must have strong customer service skills, good communication skills, and be detail oriented. Qualified candidates must be able to follow an on-call rotation, perform necessary maintenance and repairs in units and be able to prioritize work as it comes in. They will maintain grounds, inspect buildings/grounds/common areas and suggest repairs, perform preventative maintenance, turn vacant units per company standards, perform appliance repair, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation and have their own tools. They will also be able to lift 50+lbs and pass a background check (criminal and credit).

    JOB SUMMARY:
    The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the physical upkeep of the community. He or she must maintain and operate all mechanical equipment excluding those specifically designated for contract repair and service. The Maintenance Technician is under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.

    DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Able to be on emergency 'on-call' status to respond to emergency work orders.
    Perform all duties with the highest consideration for safety.
    Continually inspect buildings, grounds and common areas to identify needed preventative maintenance, to ensure that the buildings and common areas are clean, grounds are being properly maintained and to identify current and potential safety hazards.
    Maintain a clean, safe, and well organized shop and equipment storage area in compliance with all OSHA regulations.
    Perform necessary maintenance and repairs in units with work orders.
    Strive to see that all work orders are completed within 24 hours.
    Turn vacant apartments into units ready for occupancy following company guidelines.
    Always maintain the highest standards of resident relations.
    Perform other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
    -High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
    -HVAC/EPA Certification required, CPO Preferred, but not required.
    -At least 3 years of experience within Apartment maintenance, or similar trades.
